IAEA-S-2* silver sulfide was prepared by B. W. Robinson, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. The starting material for IAEA-S-2 was gypsum, naturally evaporated from present day sea water in evaporation ponds owned by Dominion Salt Ltd, New Zealand [1, 2]. The isotopic values of the reference material IAEA-S-2 are the results of the statistical evaluation of interlaboratory comparisons.
