A Carrara marble supplied to IAEA by IMEG, Viareggio, Italy, was originally intended as 14C quality control material IAEA-C1. The fraction of the material ground to a fine powder with grain size below 100 μm is called IAEA-CO-1 and is intended for stable isotope measurements [1]. Its recommended δ13C value was determined in an international calibration [2]. The recommended δ18O value is a mean from data of an interlaboratory comparison [1].
