Unit Size: 0.5 g
IAEA-CH-3 was prepared at the IAEA from a large batch of cellulose produced in 1989 from the harvest of about 40 years old Swedish trees as 14C quality control material IAEA-C3. Three kilogram of this cellulose stored in sheets was milled down to a fine powder and homogenized. The final calibration of the material was performed in 2004 by a small group of experienced laboratories together with the re-calibration of most of the other organic carbon stable isotope reference materials available at IAEA [1].
